I was contacted about a month ago. Usual story: Fell in love from the first moment. Claims to have an Australian passport. Moved to Ghana, where here parents works as NGO's, when her father died in a car crash. She goes to church and tanked God for bringing us together.
She wants to come over and needs the cash. There she made the mistake, she wanted me to transfer money to Josephine Wilson (!). JW is in the database! ThanX for that!

I later found this picture on a Ghanees dating site, while searching for <<"Ann Nelson" + Ghana>> on Google:



She used iMatch Australia to get in touch with me and immediatly wanted to contact her on Yahoo: honestlady4aussie@yahoo.com

Pretty much standard procedure was used, I guess.

It's not hard for the scammers to write the love letters to men, it's a fact they are all latent homosexuals who have less than average 'equipment'.

Beware, this person took me for a good sum of money. Located in Ghana. Very good scammer and has many others that assist with the scam. Uses the pictures from Mandy'd Diary. Good english. Best scammer that I've encountered and stupid me...I fell for it. Live and learn. Found all these sites after the fact.
There should be a requirement that all dating sites have scammer site links so visitors have the ability to become educated and report abuse. Even when abuse is reported to these websites, not much is done to fix it. Definitely an area where international laws should be developed and enforced. Americans are by far the most affected.

She uses a bunch of different pictures and I found 8 ids with the same girl just different pictures on SaigonDarlings and OdessaDarlings.
I report the ids to the sites help desk. Gee...they did nothing and they are still active.

Well I'm mad. Hired a private investigator in Ghana to do leg work for me. Now I'm baiting the scammer. Have filed an IC3 report for the FBI and today I file with my local police so Interpol can become involved. Have all the docs in place and Western Union has their stuff available for the police.
The PI will be checking on some stories first, then opening up a complaint with the Ghana police. He's a good man and comes highly recommended. Was in the police before. He will bribe the cops to get on this.
We intent to setup a bogus delivery. Then when they present the id use for the wire transfers, bang...they go to jail.
Hope this all works as I still have this scammer in love with my money. Won't get any money back...just revenge.
Will post how it goes and release this PI's name when all is done. He loves helping to break up dating scams. Has help many others with it and got them.

I am. Got a copy of his driver's license and passport. Compared them with legal ones found on the web. They look valid...so I'm trying.
Goes by the name of Courage...just in case anyone knows of him.
Will keep posting as things develop. No money exchanged yet.

It's so easy for them to fake those documents. Just be VERY careful if you give him any $$$ I'm sure others here are more up on the scammers who claim to be investigators. Good luck and please be VERY VERY careful.
