THANK YOU, thank you for this site for had it not been for a minor search one day on a Nigerian western union that helped me happen upon this site I felt pretty much compelled to send this potential new love money to help. I had no idea then that this was even going on... so again many thanks from me and the kids for not being duped in giving away money out of the kindness of my heart to some blankety blank lol. Thanks Bobbie, I am VERY glad this site saved you from heartache. Unlike other types of scams, this is the most nasty one, IMHO: they play with people's feelings and leave them heartbroken. Many victims say it's not even money loss they regret the most, but the fact that it broke their heart and they lost hope to find somebody.

I am very glad to hear this site helped it didn't happen to you!!!

At first my heart hurt and now I am just angry. I'll be more skeptical in the future but I have learned some things to better protect myself next time.
Look at us, we are good people. All we wanted to do was find someone to share our lives with. Hopefully it will happen for each of us.

Yes, this site is a life saver. I wish I had checked on my contacts much sooner. It would've saved me a lot of wasted emotions. That has been the hardest part of this whole ordeal for me and I know what you mean petrafarmer. I'm heartbroken and feel a little lost and yet I'm so angry...at myself mostly. I'll get over it and I'm still looking. I had been contacted by another person during this time with the 2 scammers. We met for coffee and he is really nice. We actually went to the same schools and have mutual acquaintances. We are planning on getting together again soon, so maybe there is hope after all.

At first I was more angry at myself for being so stupid sending money to someon that I really didn't know.
I was also upset as I was not looking for anyone. I had lost my partner 2 years ago and was just getting a grip on life again. Then this guy came into my life and made me feel alive again.
Only 2 good things came of this for me one was finding this site and knowing that Im not the only one. Plus I think I am ready to let someone into my life again.

I joined this site not long ago. I suspected woman with which I was corresponding was suspicious. Thanks to ICE I found out I was right. ICE I owe you a beer for saving my butt. To Marissa, I raise my chalice in salute to you, for creating this site, to try and stop these treacherous people. The information and links to information I have found extremely valuable for me to protect myself. I hope all the others out there like me, who are seriously looking for real love, and maybe find some real happiness, will visit here first, before they get emotionally sucked in by one of these scammers as I did. The pain is just as real as any off line relationship. Again, many thanks to you Marissa. You and ICE have made a friend here. I do have only one question, How can a donation be made without having a paypal account?

As for donations, if you click on the donate page, there's an option to do a Paypal trasactoin without having to have an account. Any donations are greatfully received as they keep the site running by going toward the hosting costs, which are not cheap.

Wayne & Marisa, you guys have done a FANTASTIC job setting up the new site. I am sure there are a lot more behind the scenes who have been moving things and cleaning up too, but I just want to say THANK YOU ALL!

I love the new board colors and there is a noticeable difference in speed. Same with ScamDigger. I know how hard you guys worked and how many problems and late nights you spent resolving them. I am thrilled with the results.

This site IS fantastic! And do you know what makes it so fantastic? The people that come here every day to report scammers. Every one that's reported has the potential to save others from losing money to these scum. Every person that posts up a scammer can, just by that small act, save someone from losing thousands of dollars, and that's a pretty amazing thing in anyone's eyes.

Many a time i see posts from peole who have been scammed
Seen the pain and anguish that they have experienced
whether it be financial or not there is always a deep emotional and mental trauma to go with it
But mostly i see that the dreams and beliefs we have, have been broken

As time goes by and we share our experiences and receive support from the members on RS i see the victims gain strength and belief in themselves and once again return to life and much the wiser

i would like to say thankyou to all those who have helped me on my journey back into the human race
and i am so happy to be associated with a site that truely cares with so many of us who refuse to be victims for the rest of our lives

I am so glad that I googled my scammer again, first google resulted in nothing, & I lost a lot of money!! I have learned so much from this site in the last few days that it has become an invaluable source of information to me. I have been very suspicious of a few other guys that have contacted me via some dating sites & with the help of the information I have gleaned from here, my suspicions have been totally confirmed. All three guys are in Nigeria, so far they have not asked me to supply them with anything, I will keep up the communication & as soon as I have any requests for money will ensure that they are posted on here.
I cannot thank you enough for starting & administrating this site.
