Google is your best friend -

or you can use this, it is more helpful for the ones to avoid.

I might also add that there are scammers on every dating site, it is just the number that varies.

Good Luck - If you are new to Russian Dating then there are more websites that can help you.

Russianeuro.com

Postby errol100 on Wed Aug 20, 2008 11:28 pm

I have been on Russianeuro.com for 2 weeks and here is the information I have picked up.

Good things

- There are genuine women there for sure
- They quite often open a chat window with you and open a conversation
- They seem to vet the photographs to a certain degree
- There are not associated costs with each e-mail/communication you have
- There is a chat room, where you do find nice people. Granted I do not want to talk to a hairy guy, but if this is your thing - then you can check it out

Bad things

- There are scammers about
- They usually open a chat window and ask for your e-mail address immediately
- People are quite willing to give out their e-mail addresses. This is the norm here
- As soon as you receive an e-mail check out the source
- If you hand out your e-mail address to anyone, you will get unsolicited e-mails from people

Advice

OK 2 weeks does not make me an expert here by any means. What I have found is it is good for you to open the communication via either the chat room or the in-site mail. Ask questions!, lots of them. Subtely make questions in line with their profile..because if they are genuine, you do not want to offend them either!!.

If you do move onto e-mail communication, find out where they live (if you haven't done this already) - and tie it up with their IP address and look for The Bat in the correspondence.

I have found searches in google are fruitless in e-mail addresses, so it helps to have a photographic memory :p

Watch for inconsistencies in language/font also and Ill give some examples of the above:

1. One lady claimed to be heading towards a nun. I was a bit put off by this but I checked her IP address and it come up as US. Further investigation proved that she knew little about god - not that I do...eventually she gave up.

2. One lady put on her profile that she was 26, but on her e-mail she said she was 27...apparently she had messed up her birthdate on the website (like you do). She tried to back-track, but also her profession said she was an administrator, but her profile said book-keeper. They are 2 different things. Again her IP address was America.

3. A lady expressed interest in me and I looked at her profile and she said that she lived in Clearwater all her life and she was in fact American. Unfortunately for her, whilst being English I have travelled and even lived in Florida. I mailed her, she failed to answer any questions but made particular reference that she was not bothered about "creed or colour"... Notice the problem here ? Americans do not spell colour with a u.

4. One lady is e-mailing me and I am stumped but one thing I am looking at particularly is the change in font. Her IP ties up with her location, no bat there either, the photographs are not semi-nude, although one has been kind of saucy. No request for cash, but a sad story behind her, but this constant change in font is cause for concern.

Maybe I psycho-analyse things too much, but it is better to be safe than sorry.

i had wondered about them also. as you see they have many different sites besides this russian site. so more infor on the other sites would also be helpful.

i havent been a paid member to any of these sites, just been looking, and wondering about it. i agree its better to communicate on their site rather than ones own email. ive heard when photo sharing or send an a card, they can add something to the pic, so when you download them it lets them into your pc. and stuff like norton doesnt detect it. i know one person that had that happen to them.

My experience with RussianEuro.com is that I correspond with 20 women there. 25% ask me for money to support their trip to come to me. I am in the U.S. by the way. I was never scammed because I know that scammers ask for money as their goal. Good luck using the site.

have subscribed to latineuro.com and ukrainedate.com

so far, have had a very small amount of scammers on latineuro.com. i think less than 5 people approached me as scammer, working in Africa, being US nationals with poor English grammar skills. When reported to the site, they were removed immediately.
i had a few long term contacts, but at the end most people on these sites have some kind of "problem" in their life and are looking to find an alternative avenue into happiness. So are we, by joining the site. fair enough.

i expect there to be some more at Ukrainedate.com but so far havent encountered anyone that fits that profile.
The people on this website seem to be more educated as well.
High end professions such as medical doctor and mastering languages are not uncommon. It is unlikely these kind of people are scammers i may hope. I speak 5 languages myself so can test easily. same for some high end professions. in fact, the more educated, the easier to validate, not ? They also dont need translator services.

so far no email conversations, just chats. most initiated by myself. There are 4 times more men than women connected concurrently.

the websites also collaborates removing scammers and has a scam detector on their email system that screens for words that relate to money.

i know because they temporarily blocked my account when i engaged an email conversation with a girl to rent me out a room whilst on holidays.
So i complained to the site and they explained.

As mentioned, there are scammers everywhere. if the pictures are "posed" and reveal too much, it's a no-go. Who wants to date someone that poses half naked ?

if the pictures are normal day-to-day, it's already less of a risk.

conclusion: so far no luck with any of these sites finding the right person, but equally havent been scammed neither.

establishing Long distance relationships is consuming time and no guarantee. You get the emotions of taking care -even if only mentally supporting her- and only have so much holidays you can take to travel there.

just found an obvious no-go:

good looking, 18 and lawyer as profession.

How can you have a university degree and resulting title at 18, whilst this would take you at least 4 years of university ?

...

On this site I have found a lot of scammers, fortunately most are not very bright. On one occassion I had a message from one 'girl' with her email addy and signed with a different name from the one on the profile. Less than 2 hours later I got an identical message from a different 'girl'.

Most are hotties in their twenties and early thirties falling madly in love with me after about 3 emails (as if that is going to happen).

I have to say I have found a girl who is Russian, lives in Tucson (yes her phone number and ip address are in Tucson). She seems genuine so far. She has no need of hitting me up for money as she makes more than I do so any requests for money will be a red flag. Is she a scammer? If she is, she is very clever. Only time will tell.

This site is full of scammers. If you see a good looking girl it's a scammer... Almost always. They are easy to recognize with pics and profiles... The site has a weak anti scam policy, does not check any profile while there would be a lot of simple possible measures which could be easily put in place in order to diminish the number of scam profiles. But they don't do this effort... Other sites with less financial means than this site (i think it's the biggest dating russian site) have a highly stronger anti scam policy. They just accept to delete profiles if you report them proofs about a fake profile. Doubts are not enough, they want proofs. They accept to collaborate but that's all. And they don't remove profiles so easily. They have recently just added a warning message about fake profiles and scammers at the moment of subscription (a larger mail) but in my opinion they should do more and i am convinced they delibarately tolerate scammers. Why? To have a good vitrin of their site (scammers use attractive pictures) in order to attract potential users... Scam pictures are a good advertisement.. Once in the site you realise it's impossible to "get" what is in the vitrin... also because too many profiles are fake. I think they will seriously damage the reputation and the seriousness of their site if they don't strengthen their actions against the scams. I would highly advise to avoid this site. Loss of time and money.

Ok, there are real girls on russianeuro! And they do delete scam ones if you report it! I was talking to one woman on skype, but she didnt want have children...I talk now to another nice lady, see her every day on msn (and she has even a webcam!!)very pretty, and REAL, so...they exist! Be careful with the blonde girls! They know we like blonde ones ;) , also, if you ask them questions, and somehow they never reply to any questions, but answer with long monologues...be careful, they just squeze your name in and thats it... Or, if they dont comment on your pictures!! An existing girl would tell you what she thinks about you!! And, if she sends several times the same pictures to you...not a good sign!! Also loooong emails are rubbish!! But its true that there are lots of "non existing" girls; sad really. Ok, we are also looking for a pretty and hopefully faithful girl (else we would just take one in our country)...and I think the girls can also have some interests - like hopefully better lifestyle, more money....but at least they should be real and not scam!!! So, there are some girls...keep on looking....and my email in case is xxxx

Russian Euro

Postby bubbles1980 on Tue Nov 03, 2009 4:09 pm

l'm new to your site, so forgive me if my post has been covered a thousand times already !! l joined Russian Euro 3 weeks ago, l'm not in any way trying to single out Russian Euro because l fully understand scammers use all the websites, but my experience was with this particular site.
l contacted maybe 30 girls, and l had a similar number contact me, l wrote letters to 12 - 15 of them, 10 of the girls l wrote to were from the Ukraine, and all 10 without exception asked me for money for translation, some did it through companies, others asked themselves, but the scam was exactly the same in all cases.

3 of Russian girls l spoke to, or should l say men, turned out to be scammers, but l only found this information out from anti-scam websites like this one, because up to that point none had asked for any money, obviously the Russian scammers are a little more sophisticated than their Ukrainian counterparts, because the translation scam was so obvious l'm sure my 12 year old son could work it out !!

But not all the girls turned out to be bad, one l met in London , we had a lovely time she never asked me for any money, and l'm in regular contact with her, but 13 out of 15 is quite a shocking figure l think, so tell me guys is it possible to meet any nice single girls from the Ukraine ?

Now l have switched my profile off on Russian Euro because l'm so frustrated with getting mail from someone, then wondering if it is real or not, as l understand it Russian Euro is one of the better sites available and there are far worse, so made me think there must room in this market place for a site that provides some sort of background checks, l know this is expensive and fraught with difficulties, but a basic check these companies could do would be to have a messenger converstation with the person they are signing up, to check that the photos they are summitting match the person on the screen.

Anyway sorry to bother you all with my post because l'm sure it's nothing new, but if it stops one person getting ripped off by some Ukrainian women then great.
