After reading FBB's latest Logbook post I wish to add something here, both for mrbunny (should he care to entertain a perspective other than the one he WANTS to believe), and for others who may be in a similar circumstance.

When a victim later recounts his/her scam experience, sometimes shame and embarrassment prevent them from being completely forthcoming with the facts. They 'adjust' the story slightly, insisting that they met this person 'in the flesh', whereas they actually did not. It makes it a little easier to bear and to share their story.

Sadly, not only does this 'white lie' make it more difficult for loved ones to REALLY understand what has happened, but also makes it harder for others to know how easily they may be scammed, and so cannot learn anything from it.

mrbunny - and anyone else who thinks the model is the scammer - I believe that if you insist and promise not to judge your loved one, she might just tell you the truth ... that she did NOT meet her scammer in person. Then you will understand what we are saying here. On the other hand, she may still be in denial and prefer to continue with her story.
Help us keep scammers stupid Post his details here to warn others, then walk away without explanation. Confrontation alerts scammers & makes them change their identities...which makes all your hard work outdated. It messes with their minds if they don't know why you walked away.

I am getting sick of your attitude protecting a guilty man.

We are not protecting the scammers but the innocent man who photos have been stolen and is completely unaware that scammers are using his photos at all. Many scammers steal photos of innocent people and get their victims to believe that they are the person in the photos when clearly they are not.

Like SlapHappy said: Scammers are sociopaths (they KNOW what they are doing is wrong and continue to do it anyway), and they lie ALL THE TIME (As a matter of fact, it is extremely rare for a scammer to even give his real name, let alone any real information about him).

..He may have had his ID nicked by a gang of Nigerians BUT this man is Winston Ingram, This man is a con artiste and this man wrecked my partners life by conning her out

NO! The man is the photos is NOT affiliated with the 419 scammers who decided to scam your partner and thus pursuing him would be pointless as you would not only be announcing to him that his photos are being used in scammers but forcing him to take responsibility for something that he did NOT do is not going to turn out well for you.

One way or another I will find him and I wont give in until I do

Two things will happen if you attempt that:
1) Jail for harassing an innocent man who's identity was stolen by scammers.
2) Many victims have tried to find their scammer and the ones that have, usually don't come out of it alive.

Do you really want to cause you and your partner more grief by trying to track down scammers who are well hidden with the anonymity of the internet? If you really want to cause the scammer pain then post all of the scammers details, including IP address, photos he sent your partner, and anything else that could be useful for potential future victims to find more easily.

EDIT: Removed link makes the post moot, even more so since the mod didn't bother to explain why in the thread (I did get an explanation, but that doesn't help the readers). Therefor kindly ignore this post from now on. ;)

The person in the picture posted is in fact Winston Ingram. I know because that is my picture. The picture was taken off of Model Mayhem web site. If I were so stupid to use a picture of myself so easily accessed I don't believe I would have been able to scam so many people. I am happily married and have never heard, met, wrote, or spoke to any of the people posted on this site. I have actually spoken to one lady who was scammed by the Nigerien she tracked me down and called me to let me know someone has been using my Image. I feel bad for all of the people that have been scammed and wish I knew how to remove my name and picture from their list.

As for the person that claims they have met me and wants to track me down I give you fair warning you need to put your frustration into tracking down the real scam artist because, this Winston Ingram will put a snub nose .38 in your face if you come anywhere near me or my family!

God Bless
