Alas it is a free site FrumpyBB I nearly freaked when the request came through though and had to check myself as I have deliberately blocked and ignored the other guy who was scamming me from ghana with the same pics, I thought it was same man again (of course it could be and despite professing his undying love for me a few days ago he has already forgotten lol) I am feeling as though I have done something useful at least by putting his user ID for Oasis here, he actually registered with a chat site called tata which I am assuming is part of the Oasis network

I have also recent had contact with this George Garrett and with very similar script. Army, son called Charles etc etc.................I really hope some poor women doesnt fall for him like I nearly did

Can you post the scam´s email address, first message text, phone number, email headers, any such details that help getting the word out?

Only had messages on MSN and Yahoo messenger as George Garrett. I was initially contacted by him through dating website Single Parents Flirt.
I got a phone call from him and he did a webcam call in which he looked like the photos he had posted. Not sure how he managed that??????
But his English was very poor at times and his accent was american although he said he was half american??????
I was not surprised by the email asking for £2000 and was almost relieved as I had a feeling that something wasnt right.
I have sent him this link and told him I know he is a scammer.......lol surprise surprise he has removed his profile from my yahoo messenger!
Just hope other women will do the same search as my friend did for me and found this site.

Thanks for info. Be prepared he will return, especially since you confronted him, he knows you posted him. I wish you wouldn´t have done that. Just blocking and leaving them uneducated is always best. However, have a read through how African scammers work here and you should be fine.

This gentleman is now going by the name of Drew Brown - email: drewbrown221@yahoo.com. Claims to be a 5 Stripe Warrant Officer in the US Army, however can't tell you what the item in the picture behind him is. It is a P-104 Iraqi Patrol Boat. Supposedly helping the Syrian rebels................................

He is now a widower, with a 12 year old son "Kevin" in secondary school and at this time is from Stone Mountain, GA USA. His wife & Daughter died in a car crash. His father is American, Mother is French from - he grew up in France and moved to the US after high school.

He is using the head shot with the sunglasses and send the pictures of him in the 'hotel' room and the brown camo outfit. Also allowed two connections with the web cam, but couldn't stay on because he "would get in trouble".

Worked it for a month before asking for any money - Custom's Fees issue. No money sent.

Came through Matchmaker.com site.

Well well, guess who has popped up in an e mail to me again today. The lovely James Clerk. Tells me he really loves me and when he comes home I will see that he is who he says lol. He just wanted me to prove my love for him by sending some money to his sister that she gave his son on his behalf. Of course I agreed although I explained it might be difficult to get the money very quickly, he then said oh dear he has promised her I will get it to her monday(I could barely keep a straight face lol) . Now I have a name and address in the UK that I must send it to , am I allowed to post those details here? I googled the address and it is in existence . Thanks in advance for your response

I had previously been in contact with him as per my previous posts, I severed contact when I saw the pictures he had sent me on here and also because he asked me to send his son some money which was what first really alerted me. I saw him on web cam several times and it was definitely the guy in the pics, no doubt about it oddly. He even exposed himself to me one night on cam lol although he had told me he had to be careful because for security reasons he should not use his cam . The thing I noticed (rather than his penis he was exposing) was that he wore no dog tags and as a member of the military in a war zone they are always to be worn. He had told me he is german and based with a UK military unit in Iraq and is due home on October 3rd when he wants to whisk me away to Germany and marry me. ( sadly I am not yet divorced lol) anyway he sent me an e mail yesterday after a few weeks of no contact, said he loved and missed me and wanted me to talk on msn, so i wnet to see what he was up to. He said I could prove my love for him by sending the money to his sister for his son. the name and address he gave me was Betty Molly Morahan . 8 Southdown Close, Hatfield. Herts. AL10 8TE. Apparently I have to send it by western union or moneygram. I suggested I visit her personally to deliver the cash but unfortunately at that very moment he got an e mail from her saying that she was in a hospital with her daughter who has just lost a baby so it would not be suitable for me to visit. I have now blocked him again and was considering going to the police with the address, is there really any point though as they will always find some poor woman who believes them enough to end up hurt and broke .

Maybe he simply made up the address then. I thought it might have been a mule at first, but given the right corcumstances, WU transfers "to the UK" can anonymously be cashed in Nigeria (or whereever the scammer is).

You can go to the police. It won´t help other victims, it might contribute to getting the word out; since the police has no jurisdiction overseas, the actual outcome of it is very little, unfortunately. In this respect, no (political) progress since 2005.

The address in Hatfield is a genuine one. I have checked it out and it is in a very rough area so could just be being used by them for this purpose I suppose. I think I have now got him fully blocked so that he cannot e mail me again as well.
