hello, living in france, was on Meetic.fr but i received a message from US. I am speaking quite a good english and did answer. It's a scammer as he is using ST Aaron Ramos picture. I will put the first email i received at the end on this post. He has two mails adress he wrote me with which are :

I didn't see anything coming and talked to him the last 4 month. Then he talked to me about gold which was given to him by an Afghan's healthy person he saved during a fight with Taliban. I didn't like what i have heard and started to make research. I didn't show any interest in that gold so he just let the subject. Two weeks later, he talked about it again saying he would come to france to meet but he had to send his personel luggage first and if i could receive them. Then in a second mail, he spoke again about the gold and so he would be using the ambassade to deliver but i would have to give 2000 € to the woman who will deliver the parcel. I said no !! which confirmed my doubts and i made more research and found french people talking about the same story, the same poor lonely widow with his son, away in afghanistan war zone and waiting to retire. I sent him a mail back in french this time, to tell him he was a scammer and that he could go to hell . He sent me a mail saying he didnt know what i meant, and telling me he never asked to send him money, but he only asked me to raise funds to give to the ambassade when he come. I can see the difference between the verb to send and to raise.
My first reaction was to be ashamed of what was happening as i am a very strong person in life, having my own life with my kids, (one is quite sick actually) and i didn't need that. I am not that confident normally but they know how to do even if you are strong. Fortunately, red flags came over the romance, and i had doubts coming through the weeks. I didn't find his english so good, and i told him once as he was writting speach for his general and then he phoned the same evening. He didn't have any african accent, just a deep voice speaking very quicly even if most of it was incomprehensible to me. I told him so but guess what ? he was making the effort of calling from very far distance which explained why I couldn't understand and because I had no experience in hearing american people talking.
so firts i felt ashamed and now i feel angry and don't understand how it can happen. I haven't lost anything in this story and just my pride has been touched as i am usually so careful with that sort of things. I believe he will using my own photos as well and that get me furious. I send his firts mail and photo on the next post.
