Yes you are right on what you are saying here. But you can sound harsh to other people.
Victims are victims, they are victims of fraud. Most of these victims are honest and caring people , who thinks that other people are just as honest as they are. Yes, they could have seen the red bells ringing right from the very start of the communication but you will find reasons to justify the discrepancies because you can’t believe that others lie because you don’t. You just have to learn that evils and demons dwell on earth . Yes, this is learning the hard and expensive way. But you learn thereafter. The knowledge you get will be imprinted in the deepest cell of your brain that you will be able to spot scammers right from their first contact.
We will just hope that lonely people will be more open and talk about their problems so that they can get advice before it gets too late.
