Hi Amart, I am glad you realise that its a scam.

Please dont confront the scammer, any suggestion by you that you know it's a scam and why you know will help the scammer to be more successful and besides that, you will only get lies in response any way.

Remember that anything you tell a scammer has potential to teach them, if you can teach them things that make them worse scammers such as "the capital of "The State" is London" thats great, but if you explain to them why you know it's a scam they will simply change their scam for the next person.

The next concern is that scammers are criminals and if they have any information about you it is much better to simply stop all communication, completely ignore them and let them wonder where it went wrong.

If you have any further details of the scam including emails, pictures or details of people he introduced you to them that may well prevent somebody else from being scammed.

You make some good points. I did receive another e-mail from this person last night. Pretty silly top 10 list of me. What concerned me is that this person somehow got a hold of my last name. Not sure how. I will not respond to his latest e-mail and let it go. Thanks for the reply. BTW, does the real Tiare have any clue that her pics are being ripped off by a con artist?

This girl in the picture is a friend of mine. the real girl in the pictures, not the bastards using her likeness to defraud other men. I'm new on here and have no idea where to go with this. She was shocked and horrified that her pictures were being used like this. I want to respect her privacy, she hasn't given me the ok to let the moderators know her identity, and I can't find a way to get a hold of them yet. I will say this, she's an American girl from the west coast. She's a nurse who's done volunteer work oversees, and a very kind and sweet girl. I haven't shown her whats happened with her pictures yet because it would make her sick. In the faq it said something about marking pictures in a certain way when their identity is known, but I don't know how to get there. mostly I want to know what I can do to help out my friend, and I haven't seen any forums for the victims who have had there pictures misused like this. can anyone help?

The purpose of this site is to help victims of scams, our primary concern is for those who are being tricked into sending money but we do cater for those who have had their pictures stolen as well and quite a few people who's pictures are posted here have joined in.

Of note, Focushawaii are aware of scammers stealing photos from their site, I have personally been in touch with them myself several times and they acknowledge there is a problem, I would like to think that all of the models have been notified and are aware of this but perhaps not.

Just out of curiosity, you say that this girl does volunteer work and that she is a nurse, would you mind elaborating on that a little more, my problem is that the person you have been writing to may not be the real girl either, a nurse volunteering overseas is a common thing for scammers to claim and it is also very common for scammers to steal the pictures of models at Focushawaii, how sure are you that you are not being conned as well?

Have you checked the IP?
Have you met her in person?
Have you searched on the emails you have been sent?
Has she asked you for financial support of any kind?
