I was in a Big Name Dating site relationship for over almost four months with a guy from Amsterdam. His name was Holland (Yea, I laughed at first, too) Powell. His profile showed he was from Destin, Florida, but was not a US citizen. He said he was working on getting his citizenship. He had a work viza. He said he was 42-years-old, his date of birth was 3/30/1969 and had two adorable kids, One daughter who was 12 and a son who was 10. His wife had died in his arms of shortly after a kidney transplant. He was an architect and traveled around the world on projects due to these were mostly oil and gas projects. We talked for several weeks and became very close. He announced that he had to finish a job in Lagos, Nigeria. I begged him not to go. Everything was fine at first, he's be home in a couple of weeks. Then his workers started striking and he had to pay them off with everything he had. He really did his homework all the way around on ME. Once the Red Flags started to pop up.. I felt all the hurt, anger, humiliation that I am sure, everyone here has felt, when he popped the question. "Hey Babe, If you could send me just a couple hundred dollars, for food to tide us over, you know for your future family." He had asked me to marry him and was insisting that he and the Kids were coming out to Utah to relocate. I kept telling him that we hadn't met yet and, of course, I cared about him very much. He allowed me to move forward after my husband had passed away. He sure knew all the right things to say. I decided to contact an LDS Bishop and ask them to send him food instead of my sending him money. This would put the "suspected scammer" on the spot or, if he really needed food, he would accept. I told Holland I was texting the Bishop, gave him the name and the web site, address and phone # I was contacting there in Lagos. I explained to Holland that the Bishop had agreed to send out the missionaries with food for him and the Kids and assess them for any medical needs. I had done some actual research of my own and found that apparently the real Man's wife or one of his kids has Cystic Fibrosis and was at a concert with the rock group Mr Greengenes while they were performing at a CF Fundraiser. Holland sent me photos of this. He sent me more recent photos of this guy at parties with famous people. Won't be posting those. I did finally confront him. Told him to leave me alone, he was a fraud, a phony from Nigeria. You Just don't know who to trust out there.

Also that bishop´s details (emaila ddy, email header etc) - because that was just the same scammer.

The last 10 days, a 'deutch' guy tried to scam me, but he was unLUCKY. It was weird that no phone/cell phone in US to reach him. They emails he sent me, drove me crazy as well as any woman. Yet his phone worked in Nigeria. Anyway.........distrust came along and I google his emails and I came across with this site, that indicated more evidence than my previous conclusions.
He is under name: HOLLAND POWELL his email is: hollandisurs@yahoo.com. He uses pictures from handsome guy with 2 little inocent girls.

THE FIRST PHOTO I POSTED HE SAID WAS OF HIM AND DAUGHTER IN AFRICA, because I harassed him until he would "go borrow camera" to have a photo taken. Second photo, supposedly out his apartment window in Florida and the Brunette in the third photo was a friend's fiance. He sent me 55 photos.

His Phone # was 234-806-276-2675. I surprised him one time after the "Red Flags" started going off. I actually paid $10.00 on the Yahoo Phone Bank. He, or his voice I had heard before, answered the phone. I said, Holland and announced who I was. He seemed almost freaked out. The voice said just a minute. I then heard two men whispering. I heard an English TV news program in the background and a dog barking. I sat there with no one responding to me, although I could still hear the whispering for about ten minutes. Then the Phone Bank ran out and the call went dead. About five minutes later, "Holland came on-line to Chat" and denied that I had even called him. He said I must have dialed the wrong number... yea right.

When he asked me for money.. He wanted me to have it sent via "Wire Transfer Only" To Nigeria, of course, that is where he was. He would pick it up and I was to have a question and answer code when I wired the money.

I actually did contact an LDS Bishop through the LDS Church channels. The LDS Bishop was not part of the scammer deal. He was legitimate. That is why "Holland" was not too happy with me, but I kept telling him for weeks to go to the LDS Church for help since he claimed to be a newly baptized member. I also kept confronting him on different aspects of the photos.. I had been to several locations of the photos. For instance, in one of the photos, the real guy is wearing a tee-shirt with a Logo of the famous Dance/Night Club he is in. I was familiar with this Club. I talked about it. This flustered him. The city he claimed to live in was not in Florida, it was Baltimore according to the Photos. I was again, familiar with the Landscape, again this frustrated him.

I have found almost word for word, exact duplicates of these letters on-line.

This wouldn't have upset him near as much as you may think, in fact, he would have been rubbing his hands together at the prospect of being able to fine tune his scam based on your information.

Every time a fault is pointed out to them, they will go away and adjust their scam for the next person.

As soon as you know that its a scammer, stop all contact immediately
