I just registered at this site last night...I think I'm being scammed, but stupid me, I'm not sure yet..lol.....here is my story..I started talking to a very handsome man who claims to be from Austin, Texas. He told me that he was planning a business trip to Malaysia very soon...So he goes there to seal a deal with some Japaneses person, get's attacked and ends up in a private hospital. He is Portuguese, they are Malaysian, and they are very racist to him..Anyway, he tries to take his life while in hospital (http:/ /www .vphid.com) (link disabled - Ralph) (verified by Doctor)..The management at the hospital take his passport until the bill is paid..won't let him leave, etc..He showed me his bank account http:/ /saibint.com/online
..So I sent money..they originally told me the bill was $3,500.00 but it cost money (Western Union)..I ended up sending $1,445.00..I was told that the good Doctor will lend him the extra $1,000.00 if I paid the remaining $2,000.00 which I sent..So he gets out of the hospital with his passport, doc drives him to his hotel in KL and airport, but unfortunately the plane ticket was for the night before, so they won't let him board and was going back to hotel before he gets arrested. The doctor gets his own personal Lawyer to help him get a bunch of documents together so he can leave...This man and I get in an arguement, and he "takes it out "on the doctor..and pissed off the doctor.Now he is saying the doc wants his money back NOW, or he will have him arrested. Now he is saying that if he can only get me to send him $1,500.00 he will get the lawyer off his back and live on $500 till he can figure out a way out himself...I told him today to take a pic of himself with a Malaysian newspaper with today's date, and I will move heaven and hell to get him out. Lawyer wants $6,000.00 to write up all the necessary documents barristerismailasso@yahoo.com . Anyway..when I asked about the pics with newspaper, he says he will do it, but I will never hear from him again...my loss, etc..Anyway..am waiting for the pics

Hi Cyn

I will let Red Zorra answer that question though I suspect she has used a clever tool :thinking:

What I can tell you though is that there is no doubt that the person you have been writing to is a scammer.

If you could please post up the details then we can give you more proof of the scam but better still, your details might save somebody else from being scammed.

I am sorry about what you have been put through but the only way for you to get over this now and avoid further loss and pain is to stop all contact immediately, if you question him about details of his scam he will simply tell you more lies but he will also know which parts of his scam to adjust for the next person.

Please help us to help you and others by reading through our FAQ and posting up as many details as you can.

If you have any questions or doubts please ask us, not him

Just adding, you suggest that a hospital rang you to discuss his medical concerns, of course, a real hospital wouldn't do that but even so the website you suggest is fake, from that site we have these details

Victory Private Hospital Ireland, Dublin Branch 46 Upper Clanbrassil Street, Dublin 8, Ireland,
(near Harolds Cross Bridge) Tel:+447031848633

The 4470 phone number is a redirect service most commonly used by scammers and the address is not a hospital but an Indian restaurant, does this look like any hospital you would want to be getting treated at http://www.dublintourist.com/details/ko ... rant.shtml

You are still hoping that he is okay? Remember he betrayed you. He is a thief and a criminal. He owed to be in jail, not out there laughing and living in luxury from the money he got from innocent people like you. Lady, wake up! Your lover never had true feelings for you. He was just after your money. So stop being sorry about him and defend him because right now he is out there grooming his victims and planning what he will buy when the money comes. Believe me, most scammers in Malaysia are the most evil and greedy creatures on earth. I maybe sound harsh here but I just wanted you to wake up. Forget him completely don't hang on your hope that he is real and really did loved you. The only real thing is, you are just one of his source of income. :cry:
To heal the wounds of being scammed is not impossible. Try and fly with the geese.

Cyn, the email supposedly from a hospital came from a website that stated their address which just happens to be an indian restaurant. Is that not proof enough that its a scam.

Please stop deluding yourself and help us to keep this scammer from hurting somebody else because when (not "if", when) he does to somebody else what he has done to you, you will want to have done everything you can to stop it.

The man you were writing to is a Nigerian criminal living and scamming from Malaysia, trust me, he is not stranded there and if there is any justice at all he will be deported out of Malaysia and back to Nigeria where he belongs

You dont have to believe me, in a moment I will post the steps for you to see the hospital that contacted you is not real.

Meanwhile, STOP contacting him, every time you ask him questions about your suspicions you are helping him to fine tune his scam and helping him to scam the next person, he is a criminal, do you think he is going to tell you the truth about his real intentions?

Hi Cyn.

I hope the man in the pics is ok and I hope the guy on the phone is ok

Everything and everyone you were/are in contact with is a liar - there is NO hospital/lawyer/injury/treatment.

It was all fake and was a ploy to get you to send money.

Please cease ALL contact.

Also could you please post the mail addresses and any other details used by these scammers - to alert and save others being scammed.
Never send money by Western Union/Moneygram.
Never give personal information.

I don't want to hurt his chances of getting out of Malaysia..doesn't mean it couldn't happen,,he is Portuguese..not African or Malaysian...

Dear Cynn - I can truly understand your desperation to still believe this fake guy and to hang onto the false hope, I've been there myself not that long ago. But, you MUST believe these guys here and and not HIM! He is NOT Portuguese you see in that picture, the picture is a total bluff, just a bait to get your love, your sympathy and your money going his way. So please cooperate with these noble people who are advising you here and do as they're telling you. That way you will save yourself from further harm AND you will make it harder for him to use the same scam on his future victims. Please, this is VERY important. Start believing the advice and the facts you get here, not HIM, the criminal behind the cute picture and that sob story. I know you desperately wish to prove us (and your own doubts) wrong (been there myself) because you're still emotionally trapped and because you still hope both he and your money is coming back to you, but the harsh reality of these devils and their devilish scams - you will see neither him nor your money, NEVER!!! That's harsh I know, it hurts like hell, but that's how it is - believe you me (and all others here, just read around), I'm speaking from my own bitter experience! Good luck to you and welcome here where you can be helped - and where you can help others too!

The website for the hospital http: //www.vphid.com
First up, we can drop the "www" for now and do some more research on that site.

In order to research the website you should first find the "whois' details, you can do that by going here
http://whois.domaintools.com/

Where it says "Enter a domain or email address" copy and paste the site name in without the "www"

Click "look up"

A long list of information will come up,

It may look a little confusing but there are only a couple of parts you need to look for.

Expiry Date: 20-Feb-2012
Creation Date: 20-Feb-2011

Remember, this is supposed to be a hospital, the website was created only 2 months ago and despite much longer registration periods being available a hospital decided to go with only a one year registration.

In this case the other information doesn't tell us much of relevance so lets go to the site;

Remember, it is not advisable to click on any fake site link without knowing the risks, so if you know what you are doing, if you have already clicked on it or if you like risking the integrity of your computer, open the site.

When you get to the site, the first thing to look for is the contact details;
Head Office
Dublin Branch
46 Upper Clanbrassil Street,
Dublin 8, We have already established that this address is a small indian restaurant but feel free to do a google search on the address for yourself
Ireland,
(near Harolds Cross Bridge)
Tel:+357-3354-61921
Fax:+353 1 4610123

Victory Private Hospital Ireland
UK Branch
61-65 Great Queen Street,
City of London, This address is a restuarant / bar called "Sway Click Here for proofWC2B 5BZ
Tel:+447031848633 (This phone number is a UK redirect phone number, anybody from anywhere in the world can set up one of these numbers and calls to them will initially go to The UK then be redirected to any phone in the world, these numbers are favoured by scammers and are definately not a phone number that would be used by a legitimate hospital
Fax:+44207 504 8721

Victory Private Hospital Ireland
Malaysian Branch:
Lot 105 Jalan Utama Pending Industrial Estate
Kuching sarawak Malaysia. 93450 A search on this address actually reveals another fake site called "global Security Finance" glscf.com and oddly enough, that site was only created 1 month ago
Domain Name: GLSCF.COM
Expiry Date: 15-Mar-2012
Creation Date: 15-Mar-2011

We will report this fake site as well
Tel:+60169931346
Fax:+6032 178 4374

Its hard to imagine why you would need to look any further but in case anybody reading along still had any doubts;

From the webiste on the home page you will find this line;
It is this exceptional reputation that leading health care practitioner to work

Do an exact search on it and you will find that other companys use the same line on their website

Still not convinced, try it for yourself with some other lines from the site.

You can go to their "careers" section and click on their "view open positions" link, it doesn't work and remember, this is suppoesdly a hospital.

Also from the careers section is this line;
Our employees enjoy living in a beautiful mountain town with all the amenities it has to offer. Skiing, snowboarding, skating, snowshoeing, and sledding. In summer, its time for golfing, boating, hiking, fishing, swimming or lounging by the lake

Has anybody else here been to Malaysia, I doubt anybody would be doing too much snowboarding there and although I have never been to London, I doubt that that line describes the scenery in London either.

Tahoe Forest health system however may be able to describe their location that way though Click Here

I will not go on any further, if anybody else wants to please be my guest but as you will see, there is no way that site is real and seeing as they contacted you in regards to this person's accident in regards to him then it leaves no doubt that he is also a scammer.

I couldn't help myself, the "about us' section of sites can be very telling as well so I decided to take a look and i have pasted a part of it below;

Victory Private Hospital has been serving the healthcare needs of Ireland, UK and Malaysia for over 50 years. (over 50 years yet the fake site was created only 2 months ago) As a comprehensive healthcare facility, Victory Private Hospital Ireland offers a full range of services to the residents of Ireland county and surrounding communities.A 473-bed acute care facility Remember that little Indian Restaurant we saw earlier, apparently it houses 473 beds, they must be small

Hello again cynn6699

It is very sad to read stories like this, when somebody clings to the hope that someone out there needed the love of their life to save them in their mishaps. In fact it is the spellbounded victim who is suffering all these mishaps meeting the devil in form of scammer. Well Cyn6699. I really feel very sorry for you. I experienced the same evil thing. I once met a scammer. He looted me lots of money. When I say lots, it means lots. My former scammer was based in Malaysia. He could have retired and live a good life in his country after all the money he got from me. But I know, that once they experience the taste of scam money, nothing is enough for them. They just needed more and more. Money becomes an obsession for them. They can't get enough. They like to live in luxury at the expense of innocent people.

Try to ask any real Malaysian what is the standard of living of these Nigerian students in Malaysia? Then they will tell you that they are well off and live in luxury. Does these things not makes you wonder? Nigeria is a poor country. If they are really well off and have rich parents, why not study in Europe or USA, where they offer advanced technologies?

Why choose Asia? Wherein after graduating certain courses, the diplomas you get is just almost worth the paper it is being written on, if you present it to well known international firms. So again, please wake up. Post everything you have about your lover boy. In this way, you help yourself in your healing process and the same time you help other people not to fall to his lies.
To heal the wounds of being scammed is not impossible. Try and fly with the geese.

Thank you Cyn, you have done the right thing, its one of the first steps on your road to recovery, could you please post his emails next, the emails he sent you will be recycled for the next victim so having them posted runs a huge chance of helping somebody else.

Please be strong and dont write to him, instead, feel free to write as much as you like to me if it helps :)
At least my ansers will be straight
