Their are people here for you.
There is a book that you can get that is invaluable to anyone who has been, may be or could be scammed.
There are many intelligent , caring and kind people, like youself, searching for love and companionship. You haven't done anything wrong and, I know, that is what makes this hurt so bad. It is also infuriating.
Here's a fact that might help you have a bit more perpspective on scamming. Several major banks in America have been scammed for huge amounts of money by scammers. They will use anyone, anything, anywhere to feed their greed.
The name of the book is, "CYBER LOVE"S ILLUSIONS, EXPOSING THE ROMaNCE SCAMS OF INTERNET DATING" by Anna Alden-Tirrill and Johnathan van Helsing. This has alot of resouces listedd, touches on all the romance-scam issues and guides you through the times when you are feeling hurt and decieved by these nasty people.
There are alot of us out there- some can't even tell anyone for shame.
Hang in there. I KNOW it gets easier and harder for you to be scammed as time goes by and you begin to understand more of this scammer/scammee dynamic.

Just been contacted on SDA Singles.Net by gofishing60 email is davidhusbands59@yahoo.com says he's 50 in photos he looks 40 Oh yeah they're the same ones of Lucas Darlington etc . Says he attends the Happy Valley SDA church - no such church in Australia. Note to me says "I am employed as a estate manager in a large firm. I have a universty degree in Civil Engineering" profile says Research and development *warning bells*.

He wants to go fishing - well not in my wallet he don't!! At a guess it's the same bloke who did go fishing in my wallet about 10 years ago and keeps turning up like a bad penny every time he sees my photo on a dating site so lesson learnt. I am no longer going on any of them - sick of the lies and seems they, as in scammers, are the only ones who cantact me on dating sites.

i really laughed at your last statement that only scammers contact you on dating sites...

I have recently joined Badoo but first, there are men who are really men, see them on cam and really chat.. But there are still a lot of scammers, good that this site helped me so i can distinguish the scammers from the not.. so everytime i smell a fishy profile, i do not reply back..

He kept on until i told him that...and i haven't heard from him since....all the photos match what is in the database. That same week I got 4-5 responses from different guys....its like a mass email..to see who picks up!! ugh...I never got his email address it was all through FB sorry!! : (

Wow, business must be slow ... they're not usually so persistent. I'm so glad you didn't fall for it lcsodispatcher.

You might want to warn your fb friends about him if your privacy settings aren't very high. Wouldn't put it past him to go after some or all of them.

Just to say i was attempted scammed by this on posing as Joe Williams from the UK but working in Ghana, his phone was 233-273-2887 , how i found out was he asked me for money to come see me I didn't have it so i started checking him out to find out he was asking everyone on his facebook page to marry him and was telling them all the same thing. I cut off communication right away after comfronting him with another girl on the page we did a conference instant messenger with him. He tried to play us girls against each other separtly for a while but we finally just got felt up and deleted him for good.
