I got an email from him and here is the header.. I ran it though an IP tracer and got Sunneyvail, CA one time, then NY the next.. I still believe his is Nigerian.. can anyone else tell me???

Of course, Frumpy, Access Integrated Technologies is indeed an ITP. They are not aware that this scammer is using their services VPN or VPS to hide their true location and commit crimes, paid for by victim money, too.

i'm more or less certain its the same person, just want to see if others have had this. Emails had started from the yahoo.com account, and than switched to gmail shortly thereafter.

My aunt is actually the one who has been in contact with "Craig Williams" the same man in those pictures through an online speed dating site. He has told her he's from texas, and that he's a Colonel serving in Afganistan. Correspondance started from the @yahoo account and after a few emails switched to @gmail.com

She believes he is real, and I have the job of breaking the news to her this weekend in person, not sure how one does that, as I know in her mind he is very real and as sweet as can be. He promised to call this morning, but sure enough that call did not happen...

Has anyone else had contact with him through the gmail account?

Hi PopRocket. Do you know the phone number this craig is using? If it is a number beginning with 4470 then it's highly sus. The telephone code for nigeria is 234. It is common for people to have multiple email addresses.
The unfortunate thing with gmail, is the headers from the emails cannot be traced to the source, I'm afraid.
Perhaps you could show your Aunt this thread before she becomes involved any more? If it is a scam, it can be a draining experience and the lady will need support and guidance.

The innocent guy whose pictures are used by the scammer may live in Texas, or there is someone else with the same name living in Texas, but the scammer does not live in Texas. I happen to know that there are about 20 or more people with my name living in the USA, so a "name" is never proof of any scam or otherwise.
