I am looking at the pictures of this man holding the notes confessing his love and does it look like the head shot has been cut and pasted. How could the notes appear to be in is hands. This whole thing is making me crazy. I don't trust my own judgement anymore.

i feel like an idiot that I got sucked into this scam, I'm greatful I was smart enough to not send him any money. It's just very unsettling. I almost fell over when I ready the same letters he wrote to somebody else.

I also got scammed by him he sent me the same picture and wanted 4500 but i told him someone else on match.com tried to scam me for the same thing so he didn't ask me for the money. He said he would send me his debit card to get him the money but I found this website and found out it was a scam. His picture said my name.

I got the same emails and he sent me the contract of the oil deal with several names on it. He wanted me to add my info which I refused. His name is Eric Carlos but hs email address now is ericdad44@yahoo.com. He sent me different pictures then what you have listed. I'm doing some research on the people on the contract to see who they are. He had my name on the paper and when he said that he needed a permit for 4600 and I said someone else tried to SCAM me for the same amount. He denied that he was going to ask me for money that he would never do that. I will upload what pictures I have.

Since December 2011 I´ve been exchanging emails with a man whose profile I found on the "Positivesdating" website.I am a German and he claimed to be a native Italian, growing up in Rome and spending most of his life there. Some years ago he had moved to the U.S., where his American mother had settled down after the death of his father. He told me some very amazing, hard to believe details about his life, but as my own story is some kind of extraordinary as well and I hadn´t heard anything about love scammers so far, I was willing to trust him. He said his name was Lee Henry Leone, he was a 43 yrs old widower and a father of a 4 yrs old daughter called Jenny. He worked as a self-employed engineer in the oil industry....Guess what, in January 2012 he allegedly left the States together with his "little girl" for Manchester, U.K. in order to do some business negotiations. Afterwards, as he told me, he went to the Bakassi peninsula(Africa, Cameroon) where he wanted to drill and ship some crude oil....Meanwhile he had asked me to set up the Yahoo messenger, so we could chat online and get to know each other better. Strange enough, he claimed his laptop didn´t have a webcam, but anyway he asked me to switch on mine whenever chatting with me. I must admit there were more than enough signs warning me of that guy - being a businessman but not having a laptop with an integrated webcam, taking his little daughter with him on a business trip to Africa, often using some Spanish expressions ("mia seniorita") but being a native Italian, hardly ever answering any of my questions, claiming not to have any friends or family members at all, asking me for pictures, but not giving me one of himself as his daughter had broken his camera, let alone his poor English spelling skills .... I must have been completely blind!!! The point is that for me it was something like love at first sight, I actually loved the picture on his profile so much, showing him with his daughter(at least that´s what I thought). However, it wasn´t any of the pictures which had been posted here before, it wasn´t even the same man!!! Unluckily I hadn´t saved his profile before he deleted it, so I can only describe the photo: there was a man sitting on it wearing some casual clothes, a grey hoodie, a green tee-shirt and a red basecap, he seemed to be bald and he had a grey beard. Next to him there stood a little girl with long, light brown hair wearing a light pink shirt with pink hearts on it, maybe some pyjamas. You couldn´t see much of the room in which they we were, however I got the impression they were Americans. The surroundings didn´t look affluent and the photo was definitely not arranged, but a private snapshot! The man on this picture smiled so nicely that I had a crush on him right there - it´s really a pity he will never know!
To cut a long story short, my scammer wanted to spend my birthday with me here in Germany, but instead of giving me some detailed information about his arrival, one day he suddenly told me his daughter had put a key into a socket and was struggling for life now in hospital, but the doctors there only would continue to treat her if he paid them immediately. So he asked me to send him 2240 USD! At that point I finally woke up....I told him I would only send the money directly to the hospital´s bank account as I didn´t want to get trapped by a scammer....He continued to play his role and told me he would ask for their account and get in touch with me later, but of course he never has written back again!
You may wonder why I´m sure that my scammer is the same one this post deals with, Cayo Alejandro aka Eric Carlos....I´m 100% sure because he wrote me an email which is almost completely identical with the one he had written to the member Ericka before, including some of his favorite expressions such as "mia seniorita", "golden platter", "rare gem"etc. Besides he used the same story for both of us, the Bakassi location, the oil drilling, the Ex-wife, who died of drug abuse, the injured daughter....
I remember there was another profile on the "Positivesdating" website at the time I contacted Lee H.Leone in December2011, using one of the pictures which allegedly belong to Cayo Alejandro.It was the one on which he and the girl are standing behind a big window looking down on some water. Funnily this profile is gone now, but nevertheless the same person currently has got another profile on that website (navasm, 31yrs, male), now using that picture which looks as if it was taken at the movies (green seats, him and the girl, she´s wearing a pink top).
For me he used the email address leeh.leone@gmail.com and the IM address leeh.leone@yahoo.com, his IP address was 74.125.65.26 .

This man is very professional, I dont´think he´s doing any other job but romance scam to earn his living and I still miss chatting with him although I know he´s nothing but a mean scumbag breaking women´s hearts with a smile on his face....The picture where he´s holding the notes for Michele in his hands is very interesting. I´m pretty sure it´s only his body, and the head of the other man whose pictures he abuses is fixed on top with the help of Photoshop....But so we can see, he must be a white guy, probably a Latino, at least that´s what his Spanish language skills imply.....

Thanks for posting your scammer's details. The IP resolves to gmail server in USA, not the scmmer's true location. Gmail hides it. If you have a yahoo.com email, please post the headers for one of the emails you received.

Your scammer is not a white guy or a Latino, but most likely a Nigerian black man. See what the guys behind these scams really look like. viewtopic.php?f=13&t=11769

edit to add: Scammers use babblefish or other online translators to "speak other languages." He doesn't know more than 5 words most likely.

My story is about the same as Radar1010's. I met Craig Adams on match.com mid March. We've exchanged a few emails, but most of our conversations are on IM chat through gmail, using craig11970@gmail.com. He sent me some of the same pictures and some different ones, all the same guy in the pic's, who ever that is. But he has also called me several times from 3 different phone numbers and we've talked. He speaks perfect English and sounds similar to Australian, but not quite right, something's different about his accent and you can hear a little girl in the background. The time of his calls always coincide with what time difference he says he's in. AZ number (480)257-5026 worked when we met and he said he was in the states at the time. UK number showed up on caller ID with the mobile phone country code for UK of (234) followed by 8069387090. Then, he said he had gotten an AZ international roaming number (623)738-6894, but it's not a land line as some others on this site have said because he and I text each other using this number. As soon as he asked for money I found this site. I told him all that I had found about him, but he stuck to his story, claiming someone else is doing this and painting his name black. I'm still playing along, telling him I have no money to send him. I hear from him very little since and only to check on me sending money, all of the sweet, attentive contact has stopped. I assume no one has played along and he doesn't know what to do with me. I thought I'd never hear from him again, so I'm puzzled that he still contacts me. I'm curious where he's going to go with his story at this point. He can't tell me some tragic accident happened to his daughter like he did in someone else's post on here.

I guess the best thing about that profile is the fact that he claims to be in Atlanta, Indiana!!!!!
Hopefully everyone reading this will instantly be alarmed......
