I've read many stories posted in this site and found that these guys' stories are all very similar: lost his wife or got divorced, being a single parent, one of his parents died and they are all engineers! I've corresponded with this guy, the one so-called Fred Williams for some time. He claims to be a marine welding engineer, his wife died in a car accident, left a son who is 15 years old now. He said his father was American and his mother is Italian. He even had his son write to me. But his son's English is so poor...even poorer than mine (since I'm not a native speaker of English.) And this is the first red flag for me. When I asked him why his 15-year-old son's English is not that good, his explanation was that not all Americans who can speak good English are able to write good English! 
Oh, he said he's currently in the UK and he gave me his phone number. And it starts with +4470! We also spoke on the phone and his accent is really strange... then the last red flag is his IP. He said he's in Liverpool but his IP shows he's in Malaysia!
