IP-Ranges sperren / Blocking IPs

Hi Leute,

ich bin heute auf diese Seite gestoßen. Ich habe ebenfalls massiv Probleme mit Scammern.

Ich wollte euch gern mal fragen, ob ihr es für sinnvoll haltet, dass ich die IP-Ranges 41.202.*, 41.204.*, 41.208.*, 41.210.*, 41.211.*, 41.214.* und 196.207.* jetzt komplett aus meiner Community ausgeschlossen habe. Kann es da Probleme mit echten Besuchern geben? Oder kann ich davon ausgehen, dass diese IPs niemand im deutschsprachigen Raum haben wird?

Weiterhin wollt ich fragen, ob ihr noch mehr solcher Adressebereiche nennen könnt, die ich problemlos hinzufügen kann.

Und meine letzte Frage.... wie schützt sich z. B. studivz gegen sowas? Oder all die anderen großen Communities? Ich habe dort sowas längst nicht so häufig gesehen, wie dies auf kleineren Seiten der Fall ist.

[Hi folks. I found this site today. I´m having amssive problems with scammers myself.
I would like to ask you whether you consider it reasonable that I have excluded the IP-ranges 41.202.*, 41.204.*, 41.208.*, 41.210.*, 41.211.*, 41.214.* and 196.207.* from my community completely. Can this mean any problems with real visitors now? Or can I take it just for granted that no one in and around Germany will have these numbers anyway?
Furthermore, I´d like to ask if you can give me more address ranges that I could add to my list.
Last question, how do sites like studiVZ protect against these things? Or all the other large communities? I have not seen something like this there which on the other hand many smaller sites seem to have.

Ich glaube, das ist bei vielen Forums Standard. Social Networking-Seiten werden aber wohl jeden zulassen, vielleicht aus werbetaktischen Gründen, naja, und weil die auch größere Teams haben, die wahrscheinlich rund um die Uhr nix anderes machen, als SPammer / Scammer zu löschen (stelle ich mir zumindest so ähnlich vor).

I believe banning IP ranges is standard with many fora. Social Networking sites, however, might allow everybody in, possibly for reasons of adverising, well, and they have bigger maintenance teams who are doing nothing else than deleting scammer and spanner profiles around the clock - that´s my imagination, at least.]

danke für deine Antwort. Die beiden von dir geposteten Listen schaue ich mir nachher direkt mal an.
Kann ich also davon ausgehen, dass wenn die IPs 41.204.224.0 bis 41.204.255.255 zu Nigeria und Afrika gehören, dass Leute aus Deutschland, Österreich und der Schweiz so eine IP nie haben können? Kenn mich da nicht so aus...

Wäre es evtl. sogar möglich, alle 41.* von meiner Seite auszuschließen, weil sie aus Nigeria und Afrika kommen? Oder gibts 41er, die nicht von da kommen? Hmm.. dafür werd ich die Liste wohl mal durcharbeiten müssen.

Aber mal dickes Danke hier an die Leute... hätte nie gedacht, dass es sowas hier gibt.

So it´s allright that IPs like ... which belong to people from Nigeria and Africa can never be had by people from germany, Austria and Switzerland? I have no idea ..
Could it also be possibly to just exclude all 41*´s from my site because they are all from Nigeria and Africa? or are there 419ers not being from there? I´ll have to workk through that list I think.

Aus eigener Anschauung weiß ich es leider nicht, ich habe nur mit Wayne darüber diskutiert, obiger Post^^ ist die Zusammenfassung davon.

Allerdings werden auf Google Hits schon auftauchen. Nur kann dann jemand, der eine geblockte IP hat, dann nicht auf Deine Seite. So etwas hat neulich auch mal jemanden von hier getroffen, die zufällig eine US-IP hat, die dort geblockt ist...quasi ein negativer Zufallstreffer.

Hits would appear on Google everywhere though. Someone whose IP is blocked, however, won´t be able to visit your site. That´s what hapened to someone from here recently who happens to have an US IP which is blocked over there...kind of a negative random hit.]

Ok, danke erstmal für die Informationen. Habe jetzt erstmal die im 1. Post genannten IP-Bereiche geblocked und schau mal, was sich verbessert. Erfahrungsgemäß waren 80-90% der Spammer bisher aus dem Bereich 41.2xx.*

Ja, es handelt sich hier ausschließlich um Romance Scammer, sofern ich das darunter verstehe, was ihr darunter versteht.

Ich habe halt ein Singleportal und es meldet sich ca. alle 2 Tage jemand an, der innerhalb kürzester Zeit viele Nachrichten verschickt. Eigentlich immer sind als Empfänger die Männer betroffen und die Nachrichten enthalten oft englische und/oder gebrochen deutsche Texte mit Hinweis auf fremde Emailadressen & Co.

I´m running a dating site and every other day there is someone registering who sends out mass PMs in minutes. Almost always it´s men who are the receivers, the PMs often contain English and/or German texts with references to other email addresses & Co.]

Die Sache funktioniert super. Hatte seither keine Spammer mehr. Hatte neulig wieder einen mit 41.2xx.* Aber lag daran, dass ich den Bereich noch nicht gesperrt hatte und als ich gesehen hab, woher die IP wieder kam, hab ich auch den Bereich gesperrt.

Hat jetzt 15 Leute angeschrieben oder so und wird direkt gesperrt. Denke mal, dass ich den Bereich auch auf die Blacklist setzen werde, obwohl die 38.113.* bei euch hier nicht gelistet zu sein scheint.

It´s working really great. I haven#t had any spammer since then. Recently, I got one more of those 41.2xxxx. I didn´t block this region then and when i found where this region comes from I blocked thios one as well.

The above scammer has contacted some 15 people and he is blocked now. I think I´m going to add this IP region to the blocklist, too, even if the 38.113. doesn´t seem to be in your list.

Nö. Die 38.113.184.7 ist Toronto in Kanada. Sagt aber nix, weil einige Nigerianer über ausländische Proxy-Server scammen. Deshalb solltest Du die nicht gleich sperren. Auch Du könntest die mal nutzen, vielleicht auch, um Scammer an der Nase rumzuführen.

No, the 38.113.184.7 is Toronto in CAN. It doesn´t mean a thing because some Nigerians scam using foreign proxies. Therefore, you shouldn´t ban those. You might be using them for yourself one day, posssiblky for baiting scammers yourself.

Tut mir leid, wenn ich noch mal nachfragen muss... verstehe das nicht ganz. Was habe ich davon, wenn ich selbst über Proxy den Scammern vorgauckel, dass ich von woanders komme? Bin nicht so in der Materie drin.

Sorry I have to ask again...I don´t quite understand. What´s my advantage of pretending via using a proxy to the scammers that I am from elsewhere? I´m not that familiar with it.

...es wäre interessant, wenn du aktiv baitest, weil manche Scammer auch uns (die möglichen Opfer) schon einmal überprüfen. Und als Baiter ist es wichtig keine persönlichen Informationen (gewollt oder nicht gewollt) an den Scammer weiter zu geben. Solltest Du aber damit nichts am Hut haben, ist es eher uninteressant für Dich.

...it would be interesting if you were an active baiter because some scammers do check us (the possible victims). Being a baiter it is important not to give out any personal information (wanted or unwanted) to the scammer. If this is nothing for you, however, the subject is ratehr uninteresting to you ;(
