Hey , Good evening ,how are you doing......? Hope all is well with you and things are moving on smoothly with you....... well i just got back from Staff meeting and I'm Relaxing in my office.....Well i got your email on mydailyflog.com and to say some about my self.....I'm a son of a Banker and farmer , I am a German adopted to US.... Well I'm Stuart Talley James and I'm Widowed with 1 daughter, I loss my wife some years back with my son they had an accident on their way home ......... it almost 6 and half years now and it really hurt me and painful....... I love my foster father died when i was in my adulthood, things weren't that easy for myself and my mum since am the only child of my foster parents and it was my sole responsibility to care for my mum since my mum retired early after suffering a spinal cord problem from an accident.I graduated Moberly High School in 1976, i was an outstanding student ,captain of the basketball and baseball teams........I then worked as a clerk so as to make ends meet for myself and mum at the Wabash Railway where I was encouraged by a friend of my Dad at Central Christian Church in Moberly ,to take the common entrance examination for the U.S Military Academy at West Point, N.Y.......I was then planning of saving money to enter the University of Missouri where I intended to study Law..I finished second in the placement exams(ASVAB test), but the first place winner was unable to accept the appointment, which was deferred to me .Whiles I was at the academy, I was playing basket ball and football, though am not good with football but did that for fun..Whiles at West Point, I was considered as one of the most outstanding college players in my junior and senior seasons as West Point.
I called Moberly,Missouri as my Hometown instead of California.............because good things started to happen when I was in Moberly..I got married to Peggy and we lived happily life........ I then graduated from West Point in 1989, as part of the class that contained many future troops, and which Military historians have called "the class, the stars fell on"..There were ultimately 45 Troops in that graduating class, with me and my colleagues..I was commission into the infantry and was first assigned to the 14th Infantry Regiment..I served on the U.S-Mexico border for 4years and when war was declared ....
I then joined the 19th Infantry Division ,which was scheduled for European deployment ,but the influenza pandemic and the armistice prevented it..Between the war, I taught and studied for 2 years at West Point... I was again promoted and took the advanced infantry course at Fort Benning,Georgia. After a brief service in Hawaii, I studied at the Command and General Staff School at For Leavenworth because I was aiming for the position of the Commander in chief and first leader of the platoon.. I taught at West Point again, taking a break to study at the Army War College.. I was promoted exactly after my study as the ( E9) Command Sergeant Major (by passing the rank of 1st SERGEANT MAJOR (SGM) ) and was sent to command Fort Benning (the first from my class to become the General Officer), I then took command of the 82nd Infantry Division before being switched to the 28th Infantry Division.. and my MOS is ,21B Combat Engineer....BASE IN THE STATE, James AFB , California L.A
I did not receive any front-line command until early ,2002 when I was chose to be second -in-command in the 75th Rangers regiment in their Platoon to go for a Peace keeping in Iraq when the Kuwait were seeking for Liberation from the Late Saddam Hussein, which was know as the Gulf war..It took almost 2-3 years to see that war come to an end and with the help and interference of United Nations (U.N), the war came to an end...
I was then called again in 2005/06 to lead the same 75th Rangers Regiment to play the same role which I hold in 2004 to lead the team again for a war which was brutally in Iraq ..Things were not that easy, it came to a time when U.S soldiers were been Kidnapped by the Taliban's,Hisbunlahs and other clans which were known to be groups formed by Saddam and were under his instructions.. We did all we could though life was lost so we asked for more hands ,which the U.N sent some more soldiers from various countries and God been so Good we were able to arrest the arrogant Saddam..
In 2009/10, myself and some other commanders in the regiment were called again for a Peace Keeping in Iraq though, the war was almost over but there were still some Taliban which have to be conquered, I agreed to go on that mission on a purpose , which is I will be retiring as soon as I get home and my wish was granted and as you can see am still here in Iraq and hoping to go home soon........ Well i hope this will let you know something about my past and I can't Wait to hear from you .
