Ukrainian Translation scams

What it is about: a Ukrainian girl initiates correspondence with you, sends you few letters (usually from 3 to 6) and then you receive a letter from a "translation agency" saying that the girl was paying them for translations, but her account is closed now, as she cannot afford paying anymore. If you wish to continue correspondence, now YOU pay. And give you details how to send them money via Western Union.

This is always 100% scam. NEVER EVER pay for it. The "agency" and the "girl" are the same scammer.

This scam is usually pulled by Ukrainian scammers from Lugansk. We almost never see Russians pull translation scams.

Another variation of the same scam: the agency is trying to steer you to their website to continue translated PAID correspondence through their agency. This is the same scam!!! NEVER do it. If you met a girl directly on some site, you should continue correspondence either through that site or email. Do not go anywhere else. NO legitimate translation agency will ever use tricks like that. Any legitimate translation agency will work ONLY with a customer who hired them and will not pass charges on somebody else.

This scam is pulled by both: Russian and Ukrainian scam agencies.

There are some similarities, but also some differences from visa-ticket scam. The difference is that the letters are written in a fairly good English, and a girl DOES read and answer your letters. After all, it's about translations. Who would want to pay for a lousy translation, especially when your letters are not even being read? Thus, the difference.

Signs of scam:

- their pictures are too good to be true, looking like a professional playboy western model (though sometimes they use pics of ordinary girls)

- they contact you first on a dating site and give their email address in the first message, or solicit your email address

- their profile disappears from a dating site shorty after you get their message, or is already gone. That means they were booted off by site's administration for scam and spam, or using stolen CC.

- they contact you on the sites where paid membership with a credit card is required to contact other members (i.e. using stolen CC).

- they have TheBat! in email headers

- their IP addresses don't correspond their claimed location (city or even country) or are of Lugansk, Ukraine

- after few letters, you are contacted by a translation agency.

- the agency asks for money or want you to continue correspondence through their website on a paid basis

Be very careful with all Ukrainian girls looking too good to be true from Lugansk-Donetsk area!!! These are not even "girls" at all.

The Lugansk translation scammers have several domains in their possession and use them to send emails. Here is the list of some we known of:

If you received an email originating from ANY of these domains, DO NOT reply. It is a scam.

Ones of the most notorious agencies pulling this type of scam are nicebride, beautyabroad, ualadys, uadreams and interlingvo with many affiliated websites. See here:
