Few days after an Ikeja High Court sentenced a teenager to
imprisonment for involment in internet fraud, another teenager has
been sentenced to two years imprisonment by the court for internet-
related fraudulent activities.

The accused, Nwabueze Michael, was sentenced to two years
imprisonment without an option of fine.
The accused was arrested by officials of the Economic and Financial
Crimes Commission (EFCC) at Netsoft Cafe, situated at 21 Road, I
Close, FESTAC, Lagos for alleged involvement in internet fraud.

The EFCC prosecutor, Mr. J. Ojogbare, told the court that the accused
was arrested while trying to defraud some foreigners.

Ojogbare added that some letters were also found in the e-mail box of
the accused with a caption “Personal And Confidentialâ€Â

Its nice to know that at least 2 are off the streets but that still leaves thousands to find -I am like you -I would jump for joy if they post that they arrested the scums that did this to me--probably will never know since I did not know the real names anyway !!
Thanks for posting this - it made me feel a little bit better that something is being done -even if its only 2 of the scums!!

I bet they were caught not because of the victims reports, but because of the EFCC raid on their Internet cafe. :wink:
